Three luggage-tag studies for Gruv Gear

An August study.
Three small pieces of touring order
Gruv Gear designs utility gear and accessories for musicians and creative professionals. Its current catalog spans string muters, straps, guitar and drum bags, travel-ready cases, backpacks, and carts. The public product story is practical and energetic: protection, comfort, performance, transport, and clever solutions to annoyances musicians recognize immediately.
The visible system is charcoal, concrete gray, white, and one focused orange accent. Its mark is built as a thick angular path with rounded turns and a lifted terminal; product photography repeats wraps around dark equipment, engineered corners, modular attachment, and tidied stage movement. These independent studies do not reproduce the Gruv Gear mark, name, initials, an exact product, a guitar headstock, an artist identity, or generic rock imagery such as lightning, skulls, flames, or crossed guitars. The ingredients instead become one neatly routed instrument cable, a guitar pick tucked into a road-case corner, and three loose cables made orderly by one wrap.
As leather luggage or instrument-case tags, the studies could be considered for approved artists, endorsers, touring partners, dealers, distributors, suppliers, warehouse teams, trade shows, product launches, and international collaborators. The fit is unusually direct: each tag is already part of the same moving world as an instrument bag, road case, or touring backpack, while the design joke remains small enough not to compete with the gear.
Leather and treatment
Matte charcoal, natural tan, and burnt-orange leather echo the product world without presenting a corporate color lockup. Deep tonal impressions keep the cable and case forms technical and quiet. A restrained antique-brass line on orange creates one launch-ready version while preserving the same tooling across the family.
The three concepts
1. One Turn Cable
A quarter-inch instrument cable begins in one tidy slack loop, takes a single controlled turn, and rises to its plug. The first read is unmistakably musician’s gear; the second shares the brand mark’s one-path, one-turn construction without copying its route.
2. Pick in the Corner
A thick rounded road-case bracket protects a guitar-pick-shaped opening inside its angle. The pick is formed entirely by negative space, so the protection is literally drawn around the thing a player needs.
3. One Band, Three Cables
Three cables splay above and below one wide center wrap, becoming parallel where the band holds them. The picture is the tiny engineered pleasure behind many Gruv Gear products: one smart intervention turns a tangle into order.
