Highcroft Fine Linens & Home × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

For Highcroft Fine Linens & Home.

First, we designed a little logo for you. It turned out amazing. Here is HIGHCROFT as it stands today, pressed plainly for the warm-up –

– and here is the new mark. We wove the H from flat linen bands, the crossbar passing over one upright and under the other, so the monogram is made the way the linens are.

Next, the wordmark ran lengthwise along the luggage tags – one in pale warm greige, one in warm tan. The black tag carries the gold.

Then the woven H moved onto the keychains, in deep green and warm tan.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

For the toiletry bags, a hemstitch line dips into the curve of a bay shoreline, a small house standing on it and HOME TRAVELS WELL beneath – a toiletry bag is the piece of home that goes along. The bags stack warm gray over deep espresso brown.

A catchall is where a day empties its pockets. We framed GATHER and KEEP in a hemstitched border and let a small key rest between the words; the tray comes in golden tan.

And finally, the one we liked the most. The corner of a page turns down the same way a bed is turned down for the night – one fold, read both ways – with REST HERE beneath it. One journal in navy for the night, one in pale warm greige, like the sheet itself.

Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
