Holiday Planit × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
Holiday Planit is a cruise and travel-advisor practice out of Sparks, in Northern Nevada, serving clients nationwide with a leaning toward luxury and cruise travel. Owner Johanna Van Oeveren started it as a small side business. It grew into an award-winning agency with a growing team, and the promise stayed personal along the way: white-glove planning from an advisor who knows your name. Under the wordmark, a condensed teal line reads “Cruise & Travel Advisors”.
The mark earned its study. Holiday leans forward in orange italic; Planit sits beneath it, heavy and teal and twice the size. Three short strokes rise off the tail of Holiday like a wing catching lift. And the name compresses plan it into a single word that lands a whisker from planet, which, once noticed, stays with you.

Pressed
Turquoise follows the teal that gives Planit its weight, and indian-summer answers the warm orange of the Holiday line. Black carries the gold foil, as it always does.

The planet in Planit
For the companion we followed the name where it wanted to go: an ocean liner riding the ring of a planet, HOLIDAY PLANIT set beneath in caps. Whether the pun was ever intended in Sparks, we may never learn. The drawing has made up its mind.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
