Three leather luggage-tag studies for IBA Business Brokers

A Pacific Northwest handoff
IBA has represented privately held and family-owned businesses in the Pacific Northwest since 1975. Its work carries owners, buyers, advisers, and employees through a confidential transition—often the end of one long chapter and the beginning of another.
The established seal contains a gold globe, an oval enclosure, three substantial letterforms, and an unmistakably regional setting. These studies take one construction device at a time and give it ordinary waterfront work. The globe grid becomes rain protection, the oval becomes a ferry window, and the three vertical masses become dock pilings.
Leather luggage tags could recognize brokers, employees, transaction partners, retreat guests, or the people on either side of a completed handoff. The result feels Pacific Northwest without turning into destination merchandise.
Leather and treatment
Maritime navy, caramel, and forest leather carry the same motif within each family. Broad lines and restrained impressions keep the designs trustworthy and useful rather than ornate or financial-looking.
The three concepts
1. Rain Meridians
An open umbrella sits under three raindrops. Its canopy panels converge like the meridian lines in IBA's globe, translating a corporate seal into the region's most familiar piece of everyday equipment.
2. Two Shores, One Window
A ferry crosses between two wooded shores inside a broad oval window. The enclosure comes directly from IBA's seal, emptied of lettering and reassigned to the practical act of carrying people from one side to another.
3. Gull on the Pilings
A gull rests on the center of three dock pilings above simple water lines. The pilings keep the stout rhythm of IBA's three large letter stems, but every trace of typography has become waterfront structure.
