Three luggage-tag studies for Lake Pointe Aesthetics

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world organizations.

An August study.

A calm opening, a quiet ripple, a generous finish

Lake Pointe Aesthetics operates in Somerset, Kentucky, with a public focus on attentive care, personal goals, skincare, facial treatments, and aesthetic services. Its current presentation combines calm blush fields, dark wine accents, generous white space, and a measured editorial pace.

The official mark places alternating broad and narrow forms inside a fine oval, then finishes the name with a long sweeping line. These independent studies do not reproduce that botanical-and-clinical emblem, its instruments, or its script. They separate three visual behaviors—the opening fan, nested oval movement, and extended finishing stroke—and let each become a familiar object or action.

As leather luggage tags, the concepts could suit approved team travel, continuing education, a practice retreat, employee milestone, vendor training, anniversary, or a carefully reviewed relationship occasion. They avoid faces, treatment imagery, product marks, promises, and medical symbolism; healthcare, privacy, advertising, procurement, and mark-use rules would still govern any real gift.

Leather and treatment

Dusty rose, warm natural tan, and charcoal leather carry the practice's calm warmth without presenting official merchandise. Blind impressions keep the fan and ripples tactile; one restrained antique-brass line gives the dark tag an evening treatment that remains quieter than a seal.

The three concepts

1. The Folding Fan

A hand fan opens from one small pivot into seven broad panels. The alternating blades and open channels transform the identity's radiating construction into an object anyone can name, associated with ease rather than a treatment.

2. Ripples on the Lake

Three oval ripples move outward from one small pebble. The nested geometry turns the emblem's fine enclosure into a literal lake response: one modest action creating a calm, visible effect.

3. The Long Ribbon Gift

A plain parcel is tied with a bow whose one long ribbon sweeps outward and settles beneath it. The extended line borrows the wordmark's graceful finishing motion while making the first read simply an unhurried, thoughtfully wrapped gift.

These are independent design studies for appropriate team, partner, collaborator, adviser, vendor, volunteer, or client occasions. No affiliation or endorsement is implied. Every image is a render used to test the object before cutting a physical die.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual.
