Media West Events × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A August study.
Media West Events has spent more than 35 years making good on the promise printed across its homepage – "We produce high-impact brand experiences that move and mesmerize your audience." From its Dallas headquarters the company reports more than 5,000 events and 1,150 activation days a year, all of it guided by a philosophy compressed into three beats of a sentence, "Every. Single. Time."
The venue work is what won us over. Media West is the preferred production company for the Dallas Cowboys, and it has produced Draft Day at Ford Center at The Star for more than 20 years. For over 25 years it has also served as exclusive technical producer for the Salvation Army Kickoff Halftime Show at the Thanksgiving home game, a production that allows roughly six minutes to assemble the stage and four to remove it. President Tricia Schneider puts the craft simply – "Our job is to produce this emotional response." We recognize that instinct, at a far smaller scale, in a well-stamped piece of leather.
The mark, as found

Luggage tags, stamped faithful
The Media West logo is a wide horizontal mark, so we laid each tag lengthwise, strap to the left, letting the complete die – the circle crossed by its angular waveform, then the heavy "Media West" wordmark – run the full length of the leather. Blueberry and turquoise carry the mark as a quiet, tone-on-tone blind deboss; blueberry reads like a darker production-stage blue, while turquoise sits closest to the logo's own bright hue. Caramel warms the family with the same deboss, the mark surfacing only where light rakes across it. All three tags appear together in a single rendered scene, face up on warm gray plaster, so the family can be judged as it would travel – side by side on one table before an event.

Under one roof – a 2026 companion
Alongside the faithful die we sketched a companion of our own, a speculative mark for the year ahead and entirely our proposal. One broad, shallow roofline arcs over "MW," with "2026" centered beneath; we kept the silhouette deliberately anonymous, a generic shelter that leaves the particular building to the imagination. Stamped compact in the lower-right corner of a dopp-kit stack in blueberry over sicilian-brown, both tone-on-tone blind deboss, it turns the tags into a full travel set – tags for attendees and speakers moving through venues, kits for production partners and traveling principals.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
