Paradise Travel Studio × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
Paradise Travel Studio is the banner Beverly Schulte works under, a Fora Certified travel advisor in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She plans warm-water trips for couples and families, from Mexico and Jamaica out to Hawaii, and the way she describes the work is what caught us: beaches and cultural exploration treated as one subject, quiet time in nature and dining that tastes of the region treated as another. That reads like a painter's brief. It earns the word studio.
The name is also what asked for the study. Here is a studio on the northern plains, composing paradise a hemisphere of weather away, and at the moment its own domain sits parked, so the only public type belongs to a host platform's template. We press names in that situation to see what the letters alone can carry in leather, and this one carries plenty.

The mark this study proposes
We drew her a mark: an artist's easel holding a small canvas, a palm and a low sun painted on it, standing above PARADISE TRAVEL STUDIO in letterspaced capitals. We hesitated over the sunset, which flirts with the postcard. The easel settles it, because it puts the postcard where Beverly's kind of planning puts it, on a work stand, still being composed. The whole device runs portrait, which happens to suit a tag hanging from a handle.
Pressed
Pale sea-blue takes the mark for the warm water she keeps pointing people toward, and pale gray-sand takes it for the beach ground and the quiet she promises alongside it. Black with gold foil is the house constant. Gold favors the easel's thin legs, and on the black tag the little canvas reads as if lit from behind.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
