Polaroid Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
Polaroid Travel is an independent travel agency in Heber City, Utah, owned and run by Megan Tabor, its travel advisor. The agency is young; she opened it in May 2023. From the start she has planned for whole families, and for travelers of all abilities, so the trip fits everyone who is going on it. Her promise is her own phrase, “picture perfect memories,” and it lands well in a town ringed by the Wasatch. The live site sets her name in plain template type, and that gap is what drew us in. A name about pictures was waiting for a frame, so we drew one.

The mark this study proposes
Four album corners hold a small mountain view, the way a snapshot sits in a family album, with POLAROID TRAVEL and PICTURE PERFECT MEMORIES set lengthwise beneath. We debated a camera reference and set it aside; that trademark belongs to someone else, and her promise is about what comes home after the trip anyway. Album corners have been holding memories since before cameras fit in a pocket, and the view inside this frame is, give or take a ridgeline, the one from Heber City.

Pressed
Blueberry follows the deep navy of the site's headings, and gray-sand follows its pale page fields. Black carries the gold foil.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
