Prism Premier Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

A July study.

Prism Premier Travel is a queer-owned agency in Houston that plans LGBTQ+ honeymoons and destination weddings, with cruises and cultural journeys filling out the book. Founder Johnny Rios says he built it because he knows what it feels like to wonder whether a destination will truly welcome a traveler, and the whole practice turns on the distance between being welcomed and being tolerated. He carries roots in Mexico and Italy, and he designs travel around confidence and care. Their own line is “Feel Welcome. Travel Deeply. Come Home Changed.”

The mark earns the study on its own. A large upright gold triangle holds a smaller one inset behind inner diagonal facets, and a curved flight path sweeps up from the lower left, across the glass, to a solid airplane at the upper right. Below, PRISM PREMIER stands in high-contrast serif capitals, a smaller and widely spaced TRAVEL centered beneath. The conceit is quiet and durable: travel goes in one side and comes out changed.

Pressed

Blueberry answers the deep navy ground the live site sets behind the gold lockup, and caramel takes its cue from the warm gold linework and lettering. Black carries the foil. Pressing this one taught us something about restraint: the inner facets run fine, and at tag scale a die holds them only if the surrounding line weight stays honest. On the navy the flight path reads as one confident stroke; the small inset triangle is the part we would watch on the first physical pull.

Come Home Changed

One dashed route enters the prism; three solid rays leave it and climb toward the airplane, with COME HOME CHANGED set beneath in the same gold. The logic is theirs, only unfolded. We argued for a while over a single ray, since fewer lines press cleaner, but the spread is the point of a prism, so all three stayed. This one is pressed lengthwise.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
