Rainbow Tours × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

For Rainbow Tours.

For the warm-up, we pressed the Rainbow mark – the little white r in its blue disc – onto the luggage tags, in navy and golden tan with a black tag beside them. On the black tag the press goes in gold, the sunbeam finally earning its metal.

Next, we took the invitation from their careers page – "start the adventure of a lifetime" – and cut it into a seal. A sun half-risen over open water, and a small boat sailing straight into its path. Łódź, where Rainbow keeps its home office, is literally the Polish word for boat – so the boat in the seal is the company itself, out at first light.

On the passport covers it rides in navy and pale sea-blue. Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.

The same sunrise on the catchall tray in golden tan – the bowl where keys and boarding passes wait between trips.

Then, the round trip. A dashed route runs in a circle – a plane at the top flying out, a small house at the bottom where it lands again – with THERE AND BACK at the center, because the second half of every journey Rainbow sells is the way home. On the black fob the loop goes in gold.

Keychains with the round-trip stamp look just awesome too.

The same loop sits in the corner of the toiletry bags, stacked navy over chestnut.

And finally, the journals. The cover carries NEXT DEPARTURE over a blank ruled line, a small plane already lifting off the end of it – the line waits for whatever place gets written there first. In navy and warm tan.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
