Three luggage-tag studies for Ridge Residential Design

The useful details of a finished home
Ridge Residential Design is a Summit, New Jersey residential practice specializing in renovation management and interior and exterior design. Its work helps homeowners organize the many decisions between an early plan and a practical, beautiful room.
The compact official symbol combines rounded upper forms, long splayed architectural legs, a firm baseline, and a tiny diamond-pane window. The accompanying serif wordmark adds a second kind of structure: thick and thin strokes with a quiet editorial cadence. These studies take one device at a time and give it a recognizable household or job-site role.
As leather luggage tags, the designs could mark a project completion, renovation handoff, referral thank-you, partner gathering, design-market trip, or studio milestone. Each picture belongs comfortably to a homeowner, builder, architect, vendor, or collaborator without becoming a piece of branded merchandise.
Leather and treatment
Deep navy, warm tan, and limestone-gray leather repeat one design within each family. Broad geometry, blind impressions, and one restrained brass treatment keep the work architectural, tactile, and ready for a real die.
The three concepts
1. The Sawhorse
One level beam rests on two pairs of splayed legs. The stance comes from the long diagonals and baseline in Ridge's symbol, rebuilt as the ordinary workhorse of a renovation rather than left as a monogram.
2. Cat at the Window
A seated cat faces a large diamond-paned window. The glazing enlarges the tiny four-pane center of the official symbol and lets it become what it quietly suggested all along: a window in a lived-in home.
3. The Banister
A sloping handrail crosses three turned balusters and a round-capped newel. Their broad-to-narrow profiles borrow the contrast of the serif wordmark, translating typography into familiar household woodwork.
