Salon Citrene × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.
An August study.
For Salon Citrene.
For the warm-up, we pressed the Salon Citrene wordmark on the luggage tags – lengthwise, the way its long diagonal wants to travel. The leathers run from pale studio sand to a golden citrus tan. The black tag carries the gold.

Next, the first decisive line of every haircut. We filled a block with falling strands and cut one immaculate white diagonal through them – A CLEAN PART. It answers the diagonal in their own wordmark.

On the keychains it hangs at the station, and on the journals it sits low in the corner while the color formulas get written down. The black fob carries the gold.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then, the reveal. We drew the hand mirror a stylist turns toward the chair at the end, a finished fall of hair in the glass, and around the frame their own promise – THE BEST HEAD OF HAIR YOU HAVE EVER HAD. A toiletry bag spends its life in front of mirrors, so the stamp sits in the front corner, golden tan over chestnut.

And finally, the one we liked the most. A citrus round where every segment is a lock of hair – the name made visible – with BRIGHT SINCE 2011 beneath. Pressed deep into the golden tan tray, it catches the clips and the jewelry at the end of the day.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
