Three leather luggage-tag studies for Steam Logistics
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world organizations.
A July study.
Motion made tangible
Steam Logistics is a multimodal third-party logistics company built around speed, grit, collaboration, and close attention to customers. A team or client gift should feel active and dependable while staying far from generic fleet merchandise.
The brand's orange symbol uses parallel stripes with stepped, tapered ends. Each study gives that stripe rhythm a different practical role: wrapping, lanes, or rising heat. Trucks, globes, arrows, and containers are deliberately absent.
Luggage tags fit sales-team travel, conferences, partner recognition, and customer appreciation. They make the logistics idea personal by attaching it to one person's bag.
Leather and treatment
Blueberry and Caramel carry blind debosses; Black carries warm gold. Parallel gaps remain broad enough to stamp cleanly.
The three concepts
1. Wrapped and Ready
A parcel is tied with a generous ribbon. The parallel bands and stepped ends borrow the construction of the motion symbol, redirected into wrapping. The result makes customer appreciation visible without turning the gift into branded packaging.

2. Three Lanes Home
Three road lanes converge beneath an overpass. The white gaps between the official stripes become lane dividers, giving the negative space the active role. It is the most direct logistics picture in the set while avoiding a vehicle or map.

3. Morning Steam
A travel mug releases three stepped strands of steam. Their rising cadence comes from the forward-shifting stripe edges. The scene is human, portable, and familiar to anyone who starts early, making it a particularly easy team gift.

These are independent design studies for appropriate team, partner, collaborator, member, or client occasions. No affiliation or endorsement is implied. Every image is a render used to test the object before cutting a physical die.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual.
