The Noe Agency × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.
A July study.
The Noe Agency is a boutique luxury travel firm in Bluffton, South Carolina, planning journeys for the Lowcountry and for clients nationwide. Kate and Marcus Noe are the advisors behind it, and the promise on their site is plain: every journey personally managed from start to finish, whether a luxury cruise or a safari. A phrase like that describes die-stamping just as well, which is how the mark found its way to our bench.
The wordmark carries the whole identity on type alone. THE NOE AGENCY runs wide in navy serif capitals cut at high contrast, and beneath it “LUXURY TRAVEL” sits small in widely tracked geometric capitals, subordinate as a second line should be. A three-letter family name stretched to that width reads as quiet confidence, and high-contrast serifs happen to be the letterforms a brass die loves best; the thick strokes press deep while the hairlines stay crisp.
The mark, as found

Pressed lengthwise
The tracked second line is what keeps a stamper honest; letterspacing that generous drifts on small type, so the tag runs lengthwise and the line gets its room. Gray-sand and caramel carry the navy wordmark as a pair, the restrained coastal neutral beside the warm Lowcountry counterpoint. Black takes the gold.

The first luxury cruise
Noe sits a single letter from Noé, and a travel agency with that name has an ark coming to it. Ours is a stately one, with two portholes and a single wave, THE NOE AGENCY above and THE FIRST LUXURY CRUISE below. By every account that voyage was personally managed from start to finish.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
