Travel by Darcy × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

A July study.
Travel by Darcy is Darcy Allen's boutique agency on Front Street in Exeter, New Hampshire – luxury cruises, guided tours and honeymoons, creating memorable vacations since 1996. Her logo floats a gore-panel hot-air balloon over an elegant serif wordmark, with a little basket hanging on two threads. The balloon is never explained on her site. We didn't ask. We just borrowed it.
The mark, as found

A pale sea-teal for the balloon's own color, caramel for its little basket, and black for the gold pass.
The balloon packs light
Then the second die: her balloon again, but where the basket hangs, a small suitcase rides the cables instead – off on the journey, packed light, the way she's been sending people since 1996.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
