TRAVSPOT × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

A July study.

TRAVSPOT is Amy Schwerdt's agency in Huntersville, North Carolina, and her specialty has a built-in celebration: no-stress destination weddings on the beaches of Mexico, Costa Rica and the Caribbean. Her mark is one teal palm over a widely letterspaced serif wordmark – restrained where the occasion is anything but.

The mark, as found

Pressed

Forest green for her palm's own deep teal, a pale sea-blue for the ceremony-side water, and black for the gold pass.

The island ring

Then the second die, for what her couples actually do: a wedding band whose jewel is a tiny two-palm island. She said yes, and the yes has a beach.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
