Trigger(House × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

For Trigger(House.

The official white Trigger(House wordmark displayed on a deep navy field for a leather stamping study.

First, the warm-up – we pressed the Trigger(House logo lengthwise along the luggage tags, letter-perfect, heavy TRIGGER and thin HOUSE with the trigger stroke between them standing in for the parenthesis. Navy like their own dark field, warm tan like the crate wood in their shop. The black tag carries the logo in gold.

Next, the companion design. Trigger(House believes the best ideas are felt in 3D, so we drew the move their whole trade performs – a road case flung open, and a house rising out of it wider than the box it came from.

Looks great when stamped onto the keychains. The black fob takes it in gold.

Then the toiletry bags, navy over deep brown – packed tight, opened on site, the way their shows travel.

The golden tan tray catches the keys when the crew comes home from the field.

And finally, the proverb from their own shop floor: "Five minutes in the shop can save five hours in the field." We made the clock a saw blade, with the hands stopped at five past twelve.

It waits in the corner of the journals, warm tan and warm gray. Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
