Trinity Basin Preparatory × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

An August study.

For Trinity Basin Preparatory.

For the warm-up, we put the Trinity Basin Preparatory emblem on the luggage tags – upright, the bolt running its own diagonal. Navy and golden tan take a blind press. The black tag carries the bolt in gold.

Next, we planted a little bolt of our own. It stands in the ground like a seedling, first leaves already out – lightning, still small, given a good place to grow. For a campus that begins at age three, that felt like the truest picture.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then, the same little bolt in the corner of the toiletry bags, navy over deep brown.

And finally, the one we liked the most. We took the motto "do more, expect more, and be more" and built it into a staircase – one riser at a time, with the bolt waiting on the top landing.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
