UniQuest Chambersburg Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

A July study.
UniQuest Chambersburg Travel plans journeys from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and the local chamber's member spotlight credits Renee Brink, owner and consultant, with the desk. We will be frank about our visit. The site held us at its front door for a moment: “We need to review the security of your connection before proceeding,” it said, adding that “If you are not redirected automatically,” a link would carry us through. A boarding gate before the terminal. From a travel agency we took the checkpoint in good humor, and it explains why this study leans on the wordmark we inspected at source.
The wordmark rewards the wait. UNIQUEST runs in clean capitals, with small gray Chambersburg Travel text set quietly beneath. UNI takes a turquoise the color of open water and QUEST takes a steady gray. The Q carries a small globe in its bowl, so the name promises a quest and one letter quietly holds the map. Deboss strips color away and keeps the drawing, which is why a mark with a picture hidden in a letterform presses so well.

Pale sea-blue and cool country gray follow the wordmark's own pairing of turquoise and quiet gray. Black carries the gold foil, as it always does.
The Quest in the Q
The companion takes the globe in the Q at face value and enlarges it until it becomes the whole design. One bold circle, ruled with curved latitude lines and a single meridian, every stroke the same weight as the rim so the die speaks in one voice. The tail leaves the rim at four o'clock and loosens into a dashed route, five strokes that swing right, then down toward a bold X in the lower corner, with UNIQUEST set at the lower left on the same baseline. We tried finer rules inside the globe first; at stamping scale they silted up, and the even weight won.
We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
