Three brand-art luggage-tag studies for Valley Air

An August study.
Comfort carried in three familiar forms
Valley Air Heating and Air Conditioning serves Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Moorpark, and surrounding communities with heating, cooling, ductwork, indoor-air-quality, and commercial climate-control work. Its current public presentation emphasizes comfort, trust, precision, and long-lasting solutions.
The official badge is a shallow, house-like hexagon with a second line nested just inside it. A center band holds the name, while hot and cold halves meet above one vertical seam. The website adds emerald green, bright yellow action points, field-equipment photography, repeated condenser fins, and clean airflow paths. These studies take three structural ingredients and move them away from service-company symbolism into useful household objects.
As luggage tags, the designs could recognize technicians, dispatch and office staff, certification or safety milestones, commercial project teams, referral partners, builders, vendors, or longtime customers. They avoid trucks, tools-as-crests, license numbers, flames, droplets, manufacturer marks, and generic HVAC icons.
Leather and treatment
Deep green, warm tan, and charcoal leather give each family a practical regional palette. Blind and compressed impressions work for field and staff gifts; a restrained antique-brass line offers a polished client or project-finish treatment.
The three concepts
1. Picnic Basket Peak
A classic picnic basket has a peaked lid, center seam, small clasp, and one broad carrying handle. Its outline inherits the badge's roof-like peak and wide low frame while the object reads as comfort taken outside.
2. Folded Hand Fan
An open folding fan spreads seven broad ribs from one round pivot. The rhythm comes from condenser fins and controlled airflow, transformed into the oldest simple tool for moving air by hand.
3. Twin-Wall Thermos
A plain thermos flask is drawn with a second inner contour and a cup lid. The double outline restates the badge's nested perimeter as literal insulation—one object designed to keep temperature where it belongs.
