Vromins Aviation × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world marks.

An August study.

For Vromins Aviation.

Their registered mark is halfway to an aircraft already – the oversized V doubles as a tail fin, and AVIATION trails its underline like a contrail. We pressed it faithfully on a trio of luggage tags in the grayscale it was born in, true black down to pale warm greige. The black tag carries it in gold foil.

Their entire trade drives toward one verdict – AIRWORTHY – so we cut that verdict as an inspection stamp, with the climbing arrow from their own mark at its center. It rides small from the keychains to the passport covers; in the golden tan tray it presses big, so whatever lands there lands approved. On the black keychain the stamp strikes in gold.

Every job in this world closes in a logbook, and the aircraft flies again only after someone signs the entry. So the journals carry RETURNED TO SERVICE over a blank signature line, pressed in true black and pale warm greige – the ink and the page; the pen stays yours.
