Wishes and Wands Travel × Leatherius Woodman – a leather stamping study

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies on real-world logos.

An August study.

For Wishes and Wands Travel.

For the warm-up, we pressed the Wishes and Wands Travel mark onto the luggage tags – navy for the royal-blue lettering, golden tan for the wand and its star. The black tag carries the whole mark in gold.

First, we put a wand to a packed suitcase and let the spark catch – WISH GRANTED, says the line underneath. This is the whole agency in one press.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

Keychains with the wish-granted stamp turned out just as well – on the black fob the press goes down in gold.

Next, we set the tagline walking. “Making Family Travel Easy” runs under a family of suitcases – the big one leading, the smallest rolling along at the back on its own two wheels. Navy over chestnut on the toiletry bags.

Then, we drew an entry stamp of our own for the passport covers – ANOTHER WISH STAMPED IN, set at the small tilt every real one seems to land at.

After that, the part of the story we liked too much to leave out. Wishes and Wands Travel began aboard a boat, so the catchall tray carries a little yacht with two dotted routes meeting at its hull – IT BEGAN ON A BOAT. The tray is where the keys land between trips.

And finally, we gave the journals a wish list of their own – WISH LIST underlined by the wand, first box already ticked, because every trip starts as a line in one of these. Navy and dusty lavender.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
