A September study – Volume I-C.

Good Company – a small collection about keeping company the quiet way. Room on the shelf for one more book; a place at the table set before anyone asks.

First, we drew a single shelf of books under a round arch and left one slot open, with MAKE ROOM set beneath it. The gap is the whole argument – a shelf that expects one more book.

On a journal the invitation turns literal – the book that fills the gap is the one you write. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

On the toiletry bag, caramel over dark espresso, the words earn their keep every time it gets packed.

And the shelf travels – here on a pale sea-blue luggage tag.

Next, we stood a plain spoon beside the words SET ANOTHER PLACE – the oldest way of telling someone they are welcome.

The catchall tray in golden tan is where a place actually gets set – keys and a watch put down for the evening.

On deep wine leather, the tag carries the welcome out the door.

And finally, we braided a ring of three strands around LITTLE BY LITTLE – how patient work gets done, strand over strand.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

The last tag, in pale gray sand, wears the braid on its own.
