Good Company – a stamped leather collection of five loyal animals
From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of stamping studies. Volume II.
A September study.
Good Company is a small leather collection of loyal animals – five companions, each pressed onto the product that shares its talent. Every one of them stays useful long after the wrapping is gone.
First, the dog. We packed a suitcase and it sat down on top, ears up, settling the question – COMING TOO runs beside it, lengthwise along the tag, in classic caramel and in pale sea-blue.
The black tag carries the design in gold.

Next, the homing pigeon, a rolled note tied to its leg, over the words ALWAYS COMES HOME. Keys share the bird's one great talent – the keychain just makes it official. Pressed into navy and into warm red.
Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then the raccoon, the one animal that scrubs everything it owns, holding its bar of soap under the family order WASH BEHIND YOUR EARS. It sits in the lower corner of the bag, warm gray stacked over deep espresso.

For the catchall tray we posted the magpie, a ring in its beak, standing guard over its little hoard beneath ALL THAT GLITTERS ENDS UP HERE – keys and coins prove the point every evening. In golden tan.
It looks genuinely beautiful.

And finally, the elephant, who forgets nothing. We tied a string around its trunk all the same and set WRITE IT DOWN ANYWAY beneath, because that is what a journal is for. In deep green and in pale warm greige.
Looks absolutely gorgeous when stamped onto the leather.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
