Look Again – a leather collection about paying attention

A September study – Volume II.

Look Again – a small collection about paying attention. Four original designs, and each one asks for the second look that turns an ordinary thing into a find.

First, the design the collection is named for. We wrote LOOK AGAIN and set a magnifying glass over the second word, so the glass keeps its promise – the word underneath comes out bigger.

It looks genuinely beautiful – here on pale sea-blue, then on deep brown.

The same lens rides small in the lower corner of the toiletry bag, golden tan over chestnut, the way a maker's mark should.

Next, the luggage tags. We lined a long shelf with small wonders – a nautilus at one end, an egg in its stand at the other – and set PACK YOUR CURIOSITY above the row.

Deep wine and pale warm greige take the blind press. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then the catchall tray. We drew a collector's cabinet with eleven drawers shut and one pulled open, and put EVERYTHING IN ITS DRAWER beneath it. The tray plays the open drawer – the one that stays out for keys and coins.

And finally, the journals. We mounted an empty photograph with four album corners, left the caption rule blank, and set KEEP THE EVIDENCE beneath – the picture and the caption are yours to supply.
