See What Happens – a leather stamping collection for hands-on curiosity

See What Happens – a small leather exhibition. Volume I-D.

A September study.

Some people see a ramp and immediately want to send something down it. This collection is for them – five stamped designs about trying a thing and watching what happens, pressed into leather sturdy enough to outlast the next attempt.

First, we sent a ball down a run of ramps along the luggage tag. Halfway across, the gate is shut, so a dotted trail hops over it and lands on the lower ramp – TRY ANOTHER ROUTE, the honest motto of every trip worth taking.

The black tag carries the design in gold.

Next, we hung a sign on the toiletry bag: EXPERIMENT IN PROGRESS inside a ruled border, a flask bubbling away beneath the words. Any bag packed the night before camp qualifies.

Then we drew a question mark as a marble chute – the curve is the track, and the dot is the ball that just rolled out of it. KEEP ASKING stands underneath. It looks genuinely beautiful.

For the catchall tray we drew a potential well – a wide curve with a ball at rest at the bottom and GROUND STATE beneath it. Dropped keys obey the same law: they settle where the energy runs out. The tray's golden tan takes the stamp at generous size.

And finally, the journal corner carries HYPOTHESIS over an empty ruled line, with two boxes to tick below: CONFIRMED and SURPRISED. Either way the experiment worked. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
