Show & Tell – a leather collection about going to look and telling it well

A September study – Volume II.

Show & Tell is a small collection about the half of looking that happens out loud – calling someone over, and telling it well afterward. Four stamps follow a good find all the way home.

First, the luggage tags. Every looker leaves the same note on the door, so we painted it as a hanging sign – GONE LOOKING, and under the rule, the honest forecast: BACK WITH STORIES.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

Next, the keychains. COME SEE is the whole speech a good find ever needs, so we set it under a printer's manicule – the little pointing hand old books posted wherever a reader should stop.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather – once in golden tan, once in navy.

At its smallest, the same hand signs the corner of the toiletry bags, warm tan over deep brown – packed for the trips that end in telling.

Then, the journals. We strung a tin can telephone across the cover and set TELL ME EVERYTHING beneath the sag of the string – a journal is the listening end of the line. In deep wine or pale greige.

And finally, the one we liked the most. The catchall tray promises RIGHT WHERE YOU LEFT IT – above the words, a pair of reading glasses lies folded inside the little rays of the discovery. The tray keeps that promise every morning.
