Small Delights – a leather collection for the sweet tooth

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of leather stamping studies.

A September study.

Volume I-B – Commercial Fit Study.

Small Delights is a leather collection about candy rituals – the piece chosen one at a time, and the stash nobody else knows about. Four stamps, cut for the small goods that live in pockets and on nightstands.

First, we put a gumball machine on the luggage tags – the globe still full and one ball just dropped, with ONE BY ONE beneath it, the way every good assortment gets chosen. We ran the tags in pale rose and pale sea-blue, then added a warm red one, so the trio makes a small assortment of its own.

Next, we gave the keychains a crest – a molar wearing a crown, a small heart at its center, and SWEET TOOTH on the ribbon below. The black fob carries the gold pass, which turns it into a literal gold tooth.

Looks great when stamped onto the leather.

Then, a single wrapped piece above the words ONE MORE PIECE. On a journal the promise doubles honestly – one more piece, one more page – so we pressed it into the corner of a golden tan cover and a pale rose one.

On the golden tan tray the same piece sits large and centered – the tray being where pocket candy lands at the end of the day.

And finally, the one for the grown-ups – a lidded candy jar labeled SECRET STASH, pressed into the toiletry bag's warm caramel tan over deep espresso brown. Caramel over chocolate, for whoever still hides the good ones.

It looks genuinely beautiful.

We made this out of love. Leatherius Woodman is on a mission to create and share artifacts of beauty, craft and love – this study is one of them, and we hope the feeling is mutual. Every image is a render – how we prototype before cutting a die.
