Small Occasions – a leather collection for the days that never make the calendar

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of leather stamping studies. Volume I-B.

A September study.

Small Occasions is a collection for the days that never make the calendar. Five stamps that treat an ordinary Tuesday with the ceremony it quietly deserves.

First, the luggage tags. We strung a line of bunting over the words GONE CELEBRATING – a tag that tells the baggage carousel exactly what kind of trip this was.

The black tag carries the words in gold.

Next, the keychains. We tied a ribbon bow above JUST BECAUSE – the bow from a present that needed no occasion. It looks genuinely beautiful.

On the black fob the bow goes in gold.

After that, the toiletry bags. We laid a pocket comb over SUNDAY BEST – the whole kit becomes a promise to show up looking like you meant it. Blind-debossed on both bags of the stack, honeyed russet over dark espresso.

Then the catchall tray. We arched THE DAY over a key caught an instant before touchdown, with LANDS HERE closing the circle beneath. Looks great when stamped into the golden tan leather.

And finally, the one we liked the most. We opened the journal the way every letter opens – DEAR TODAY, comma included – and left two ruled lines empty beneath it for whatever the day turns out to be. Blind-debossed in the corner of a pale rose journal and a deep green one.
