Worth Keeping – a leather stamping collection from the mining world

Worth Keeping is a small collection for people who love the mining world, and for the people who bring them gifts. Every design in it plays the same stubborn habit – finding something good and holding on to it.
First, the luggage tags. We set a miner's lamp at one end and let its beam run the length of the tag, with FIND YOUR WAY BACK written inside the light – the lamp's whole job, and a luggage tag's too.
The black tag carries the beam in gold.
Next, the keychains. One faceted nugget over one word – KEEPER. It is what a miner calls the piece that goes in the pocket, and what you call the person you give it to.
The black fob presses it in gold. Looks great when stamped onto the leather.
Then the toiletry bags, stacked warm mid-gray over chestnut. In the lower corner an ore cart rolls along its rail, heaped past the brim, under THE DAILY HAUL – which is exactly what a dopp kit carries.
Next, the journals, in deep brown and navy. We cut a cross-section through the ground: bedded strata dipping across the corner, one bright vein zigzagging into the deepest layer, and GOOD IDEAS RUN DEEP along the bottom. A journal is where the digging happens.
And finally, the one we liked the most. A catchall tray is where the day empties its pockets, so we gave the golden tan tray the swirl of a gold pan – water circling toward a few settled flecks – ringed by HOW THE DAY PANNED OUT.
It looks genuinely beautiful.
