Worth Keeping – a leather collection about good company and the long game

From the Practice Log – an ongoing series of leather stamping studies.

A September study – Volume I-C.

Worth Keeping is a small collection about what gets better with time. Four original stamps for the company you choose and the objects that stay.

First, we pulled six mismatched chairs into a circle, every seat facing the middle, and set GOOD COMPANY where the table would stand – on keychains in warm red and navy, because the keys on a ring are exactly that.

Next, the marks a good evening leaves behind. We let five glass rings overlap where the conversation ran long and wrote ANOTHER ROUND straight across them – for the catchall tray that gathers keys and coins when the night winds down.

It looks genuinely beautiful on the golden tan.

Then the journals. We threaded a dotted path from a small starting circle around THE LONG GAME to a star that takes years to reach – a journal being where long games are played. One in navy, one in chestnut.

And finally, the stamp that carries the collection's argument – a broken-in boot under ONLY GETS BETTER. Leather holds the same opinion. We pressed it upright on the luggage tags, warm tan through deep wine, and into the corner of the toiletry kits, warm tan stacked over chestnut.
