Personalized Area Code Keychain – Born a 312 Chicago Leather Gift
About this piece
For decades 312 covered all of Chicago, and the people born under it still say the number like a family name. This keychain lets them say it on the keys. A six-pointed star like the ones on the city flag is pressed into black leather, above Born a in brush script and 312 in wide engraved figures. The sample reads 312, and any three-digit area code can take its place, from 773 in the neighborhoods to 708 in the suburbs.
Black leather takes the blind deboss as a clean shadow with a soft sheen, and gold foil is offered at checkout for a brighter star. Each fob is die-pressed on the front into full-grain hide and made by hand after you order. It makes a good companion to the Dibs keychain. Shipping is free anywhere in the US.
