Dad's Tomatoes Leather Keychain – Gardening Gift for Dad
About this piece
Every vegetable bed has one crop its gardener brags about by name, and in a great many families it is Dad's tomatoes. They come to the table warm in August, and he is still mentioning the size of them at Christmas. A round tomato sits at the top of this fob under its star-shaped calyx, pressed into red leather of nearly the same shade. Dad's follows in brush script, and TOMATOES runs beneath in engraved capitals.
Poppy red is the brightest leather we press, and it deepens slowly toward brick. The design is die-pressed into the front of full-grain leather as a blind deboss, a match for our Grows Her Own keychain. Each fob is made by hand to order, and gold foil can be added at checkout.
