About this leash
Our short dog leash keeps your dog right at your side, where a long leash gets in the way: crossing a busy street, walking through a crowd or waiting at the vet. It is the same woven webbing as our webbing collars, in 19 patterns, with a full-grain leather handle that sits close to the collar.

Which length?
1 ft 6 in is a true traffic leash: your hand rests just above the collar, which gives you the most control over a big dog or a strong puller. 2 ft leaves a little slack for heeling on busy sidewalks. Many owners keep a short leash for town and a 6 ft one for the park; our woven webbing leash in the same design makes a matching pair.

Is it strong enough for a big dog?
It is built like our full-length leash, with 1 in nylon webbing, a riveted leather handle and a trigger snap, and the short length gives you extra leverage.
Can I have it shorter than 1 ft 6 in?
Yes. Choose Custom and pick any length from 1 to 4 ft, measured from the end of the handle to the clip.
Is the pattern printed on?
Every pattern is woven into the nylon, which keeps it from fading or peeling.
Will it match my dog's collar?
Each design matches one of our webbing collars with an engraved buckle, and the link under the design picker takes you straight to it.
