The breed takes its name from Leonberg, a German town whose crest carries a lion, and the story goes that the first breeders set out to match it. They got the mane right and left out the roar. Gentle sits in brush script under the silhouette, and LION follows in engraved capitals, the two halves of every Leo.
Indian Summer is a golden tan, close to the lion gold of a Leo's coat. The die sinks the design into full-grain hide, and a craftsman finishes the fob by hand to order.
