Made for small dogs
Toy breeds like Chihuahuas and Yorkies need an extra small harness that weighs almost nothing and still fits snugly. Ours keeps the straps slim and the hardware small, so it sits light on a tiny frame, and the S size takes a small dog up to a 25 in chest.
Sizes for toy breeds and puppies
Typical adult chest sizes, as a starting point:
- Chihuahua: about 10–14 in, XXS or XS
- Yorkshire Terrier: about 12–16 in, XS
- Maltese and Pomeranian: about 12–17 in, XS or S
- Toy poodle: about 12–16 in, XS
- Miniature dachshund: about 14–19 in, XS or S
- Shih Tzu: about 15–20 in, S
Dogs of one breed vary a lot, so measure yours and pick the size whose range covers it. A growing puppy between two sizes does best in the larger one.
Questions we get
Is the pattern printed on?
Every pattern is woven into the nylon, which keeps the colors sharp through years of walks and washes.
How do I measure my dog?
Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, and pick the size whose range covers that number. Between two sizes, go up.
What can I engrave on the bone buckle?
Your dog's name on the first line and up to two more lines, usually a phone number. It works as an ID tag that never jingles or falls off.
Which dogs is it for?
Toy breeds, puppies and small dogs with a chest up to 25 in. For a bigger chest choose the 1 in webbing harness or the leather dog harness, which starts at size S.
