The Practice Log – Leather Stamping Studies by City

The Practice Log is our bench notebook. Each city study takes a real town or neighborhood and presses its geography and landmarks into leather, usually across luggage tags and journals with a few smaller pieces beside them. Every image in a study is a render – the way we prototype before a die is cut.

Every design in these studies can be made for a team, with your own logo or name added to the die. The studies are grouped below by state and then by city, and the studies made for companies and organizations follow after them.

Studies for companies and organizations

Some studies began with a single organization's own mark, redrawn so it would hold up under a brass die. These were made for nonprofits and schools, and for the small firms and independent travel advisors who carry their name to clients.

Ordering a study for your team

See your logo on the leather before you pay anything

Send your artwork and the product you have in mind through the custom logo request form. What comes back is a photorealistic mockup of your mark pressed into that piece, plus the per-unit price for your quantity. Nothing is charged and no order is created. Replies on that form run 5 to 30 minutes.

The order ledger is on the site as well: recent bulk runs lists real quantities and ship times from fulfilled orders.

Every piece that can take a logo die sits in corporate gifts with logo. The corporate gift budget calculator works out what a budget buys, and recent bulk orders lists real runs with their ship times.

Questions about the Practice Log

What is the Practice Log?

The Practice Log is an ongoing series of leather stamping studies by Leatherius Woodman. Each city study presses the geography and landmarks of a real place into leather goods such as luggage tags and journals, and every image is a render made before a die is cut.

Can a Practice Log design be made with our company logo?

Yes. Any design in these studies can be pressed for a team, clinic, office or event with your logo or name added. Send artwork through the custom logo request form and a free mockup comes back before anything is charged.

What do bulk leather luggage tags cost?

Tags-only bulk pricing on the Arizona leather luggage tag is $14 a tag for 6 to 14 tags, $13 for 15 to 29, $11 for 30 to 98 and $8.50 for 99 or more. Journals and dopp kits are priced by quote.

How long does a bulk order take to ship?

Across 26 shipped runs of six or more pieces the median was 12 days from order to shipment, with a range of 3 to 25 days.
